Whenever I sewed at our previous house, I had my sewing machine located by the window in my sewing room so I could look outside while I sewed. Now, I just bring my sewing machine outside wherever we happen to be, today is a sunny day in Bend, it’s great to hear and see the birds and squirrels while I sew.
I have a fun pattern book that has 25 quick sew patterns for pillows to brighten your space.
I decided to try the pattern titled “Fresh Bloom”. It uses a raw-edge applique’ process that you can use a lot of scraps. Here is the one in the book.
Check out my sewing room view today ….
This is my version so far, it is easy to do and lots of fun to see how the colors come together. Every now and then after getting rid of most of our extra stuff, I think boy I wish I had kept….my circle templates! Not to worry, I made my own by making cardboard circle templates, I just traced around a few different size glasses.
Here is my finished pillow! I shared a picture with the pattern designer listed in the book via his website, he replied right away and said he really liked the fabrics I used.
